KNLI firmware, for KnurdLight 3 31 March 2007 This document describes the KNLI firmware. It runs on a Microchip PIC 10F204 and controls the KnurdLight LED headlight. The processor receives input from a user-controlled pushbutton indicating to turn on and off. It directly controls the switching element of a boost switching power supply. The output of the supply is regulated by monitoring a analog feedback signal that is compared to 600mV. Firmware versions KNLI 1, 31 March 2007 First released version. Seems to work as intended. The turn on sequence is a button press-release-press with each phase being about 1/2 second. Any press of the button turns the unit off when on. The boost switcher is run in continuous mode.
